Returning to Ransom Note Records offshoot, Insult To Injury, for his second outing as YOKOCHO, the multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist, uber-producer Gaelian Lahaye drops four retro/future weapons in his inimitable production style!

A Place To Call Home sets the tone with its achingly gorgeous synth work, sitting somewhere between 80s computer game music and Boards of Canada-esque soundscapes. Lead mega-single, Just Say The Word, ups the ante with its heavy percussion and driving acid 303 lines, giving everyone on the dance floor a proper work out!

Next up, Cocktail Model Club, propels us forward with an electronic, Glam-stomper of a beat, peppered with dreamlike top lines that dive and whizz around your head, making a truly original impression. Eponymous track, Hiraeth, takes the tempo down somewhat, treating us to a relaxed groove underpinning some utterly beautiful chords, which create an oddly melancholy yet uplifting atmosphere.

Rounding off the EP is man of the moment, Tom Sharkett. Fresh off the back of his critically acclaimed debut on Optimo Music, the W.H. Lung guitarist sinks his teeth into A Place To Call Home, twisting and turning it into a 5am, drug chug monster of epic proportions!
